New Study: Sad Songs Make You Feel Better

Well, according to a recent study, listening to melancholy tunes can
actually have beneficial emotional effects
Psychologist Chuck Williams appeared on "Fox and Friends Weekend" this morning to share his thoughts on the matter.
"It gives us a safe space to work through these feelings, these emotions, and we're not necessarily in that moment facing whatever it is that is making us feel the way we are feeling," Williams said. "But through the songs, almost vicariously through the music and lyrics of the song, we get to process those emotions."

Williams added that as we work through those emotions, we actually end up feeling better, more hopeful, more tranquil, more nostalgic.
He explained that when a person hears a sad song, they may tear up or feel sad at first. Eventually, though, as they experience the feelings that the musician put into song, it can create a cathartic emotional release, Williams said.
"Once you get to the end, you're likely to feel much better than when you started playing the song."
So guys, maybe thats what you will be needing to start work after a very long break.
