Angry mother sets husband on fire for molesting 7 year old step-daughter

A man who was badly burned after his wife allegedly set him on fire is now facing sex crime charges involving his 7-year-old stepdaughter.

Police in Washington state said Tatanysha Hedman, 40, doused her sleeping husband in gasoline before setting him on fire.

Hedman, 40, was arrested and told police she set her husband, Vincent Phillips, 52, on fire because he hurt her 7-year-old daughter, who is his stepdaughter. She said she did it because shooting him "was too nice," 

Phillips is hospitalized and faces first-degree child molestation charges. Hedman remains in jail, facing assault and arson charges.

Wonder why she's still in jail...she was protecting her child and other children this alleged paedophile would have molested.

After the attack on him, Phillips fled their apartment and drove to a Skyway convenience store screaming "I'm on fire!" Customers looked on as he dropped to his knees, clearly in agony and begging, "Help me!" 

The store clerk called 911 and medics rushed Phillips to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of severe burns.

Giant Whale Shark Caught In China By Local Fisher Man

 

These amazing pictures shows a two-tonne whale shark being driven through a town in China strapped to a fisherman's truck who had caught it when the whale broke into his giant net to eat the fishes it had caught but died soon afterwards. 

Speaking to local news station Cai Chengzhu said he and his colleagues had been hauling their net out of the water when they noticed a gaping hole in the side. It's believed that the giant creature broke the net and got inside to eat the fishes we caught before it died, he said.

Cai then strapped the whale to his truck and drove towards the market before officials from the Fujian fisheries department stepped in because it is illegal to either buy or sell whale sharks in China, where they are classed as protected.

They had planned to sell the gigantic fish, thought to be a juvenile, between 10,000 and 20,000 yuan (£960-£1920).

Sammie Okposo in a new interview with YES Magazine has explained how he met his wife. Sammie says he met his wife when he decided to look away from the entertainment world, because he was tired of the many fruitless relationships he had there, and suddenly he found himself at KICC London, where he met his wife. His words;

I went to perform at KICC (Kingsway International Christian Centre in London). Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo’s church. That was how and where I met my wife. She came with her sister. After my performance, I was signing my CDs for people. I was so busy, I wasn’t even looking up. People were on queue; they buy and I sign.

But immediately I saw her hand, I looked up, saw a very beautiful woman, but couldn’t do anything because there were so many people on the queue. Later, when I left for my hotel, I still couldn’t get her off my mind. My heart was troubled.

Then, a friend called to say he wanted to take me out because I complained of boredom. Along the way, he said we should stop over first at one exhibition going on, and reluctantly I accepted. Azuh, listen to this – when we got to the exhibition, it turned out that it was my wife’s sister that was organizing it and guess what? She was also there! And that was how we started. She refused to give me her number. She only gave me her email address and I started bombarding her with mails, sometimes 10 in a day. Haba! Na me now!

Let me tell you another interesting story – during that time, I was getting shows almost every week in London. So, we were always seeing. My manager will call me and say there’s this show, but what they are offering is not much and I will say take it! Shebi they will take care of accommodation, flight and so on? Just to see my wife o! So, I was always going to London, seeing her till we got married. But you people, the press, didn’t know until we finally got married. My marriage was a big surprise to all of you, which I like. At least, una don leave me alone (General laughter).

FG Inaugurates Treatment Research Committee On Ebola Virus

The federal government yesterday inaugurated an Ebola Treatment and Research Group with the mandate to carry out research on Ebola and finding a cure to it.

The director-general, Nigerian Institute of Pharmaceutical Research and Development and the director-general of the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research have been appointed the chairmen of the committee.

Other members are also, the Nigerian-US based researcher who had found evidence of Bitter Kola inhibiting the growth of the Ebola virus in a laboratory, Prof. Maurice Iwu and the director-general of the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control.

Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu, Nigeria’s Health Minister however says, “though the research on bitter kola was not concluded, no progress can be made without research. For now, there is no scientifically proven vaccine or drug for the treatment of Ebola.”

That's the conclusion of a new study from the University of Michigan, which found that 56% of U.S. respondents had positive opinions of self-driving vehicles.

The technology sounds like science fiction -- 29% of Americans surveyed hadn't heard of it before the study -- yet it's not far from becoming reality.

Google has been working on the issue for years, unveiling a self-driving prototype in May. The system probably won't be widely available for five or six years, but executives have predicted that one day "a significant number of cars will carry Google technology." Nissan, meanwhile, said last year that it hopes to have a self-driving car on the market by 2020.
